A scenic off-road 10km starting and finishing on the village playing field in Tipton St John, following public footpaths and rights of way.
The mostly flat route heads downstream alongside the River Otter, through Harpford woods, along the old Sidmouth railway line, back towards Tipton, through fields out to Fluxton and along tracks to the village.
The run was first held in 2007 to mark the 40th anniversary of Tipton St John playing field.
This event is organised by Tipton St John Playing Field Association in conjunction with Sidmouth Running Club. It is held under ARC rules. Individual, team and veteran prizes. Mementoes for all, yes including the Otter Brewery beer!
There will be a barbecue and homemade cakes.
Standard entry fees for 10km £12, discounted to £10 for members of EA or ARC affiliated running clubs. Early bird saver £10/£8 until 14-4-19. Entries on the day £2 extra, space permitting. Race limit 250 (race entry 2016 and 2017 in excess of 200).
Also off-road around 3km fun run with junior age prizes and medals. Fun run entry £3. Entry on the day. Starts at 10am.
Camping will be permitted on the field over the weekend at a cost of £5 per pitch, plus £2.50 per extra person, per night. Prior booking essential to event organiser, email firstname.lastname@example.org
